Try the 60s eye

Smoky, sultry colours, full lashes and bold definition - this season's make-up is all about retro eyes. Think Twiggy and Edie Sedgwick, and take your inspiration from the 1960s

Full-on lashes
Full, feathery eyelashes featured on many catwalks this season, and it's a look that can suit everyone. The trick is to apply mascara to top and bottom lashes - and this is where new technology comes into its own. Two-step versions, such as L'Oréal Volume Shocking Double Mascara, build lash volume with the first coat, while the second coat adds yet more volume, and separates and colours, for full impact. For a more refined version, try Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara. Its rubbery, rather than bristly, brush takes up even the shortest, finest hairs and allows super-smooth application for full, defined lashes. You could try a few false lashes - no full strips, just a few added to the outer corners of each eye - for a more dramatic look.
